1. Serve as the official representative of the Neighborhood Association to the residents of their street(s).

2. Serve as the primary communication channel and liaison to communicate Association business to the residents of their street(s) and from the residents to the Association. This can include going door to door to pass out flyers and brochures, or to solicit feedback from residents. All street representatives should maintain a current roster of residents with names, street address, phone numbers, and email addresses.

3. Ensure that all residents of the street(s) they represent are fully informed as to upcoming events planned by the Neighborhood Association or the City.

4. Assist the residents of their street(s) in understanding and complying with City of Thomson Local Ordinances to help avoid violations and fines. This can include gentle reminders to comply with the ordinances as appropriate to help their neighbors avoid problems with the City or Police. However, street representatives are reminded that they should not get into confrontations with residents, as that will destroy their effectiveness in dealing with their neighbors.

5. Notify the City Code Enforcement Officer, and inform the Neighborhood Association President, when there are instances of recurring non-compliance with local ordinances or other problems on their street(s), such as loud music, junk cars, grass not being cut, or other issues.

6. Ensure that any problems experienced by residents on their street(s) are passed on to the Neighborhood Association, the Code Enforcement officer, or the Police when appropriate.

7. Supervise their street(s) during cleanup or other Neighborhood Association sponsored events.

8. Solicit feedback from the residents on their street(s) to improve the operation of the Neighborhood Association and improve the quality of life for our residents.
